That may be the reason the dot seems smaller. But, Trijicon has a lense over their tubes, the HD I believe. Trijicon does not seem as big a dot as Glocks. But, I think Mephro is the maker of Glock tritium tubes. So, compaing the Glock night sights, Trijicon and Mephro, I liked the Glock/Mephro. Also, I have viewed the Mephro's at dusk and darkness. I do have a set of Trijicon HD's on one of my pistols.
But, they work great and are the best valued night sights that I ever found. The worst thing about Glock night sights are that their ugly. The Glock nights sights meet all those categories. As the day fades into night, they glow more. During the day, they look like white dots. It's one of the last I would ever part with in fact.Īs far as sights go, you really have to look and decide what's best for you and what you like.įor me, I decided that the most important thing is being able to see them in low light/darkness. They can also add +2 rounds if you choose. The extensions, after mounted, look to me as the pistol was intended to have them. That gave me a feel that is more natural to me and a place to rest my small phalanx. Speaking of the G26, what made me start liking mine was after I added the grip extensions. I'm thinking I'll stay with black for EDC. I really have been wanting a 26 like yours, and then decided I didn't need BFG in my EDC piece. Trijicon HD? Mepros? Ameriglo?Ĭongrats on your new 26. They are good sights but I just want something faster. Plus, they lose contrast in a backlit daylight situation. Normally I'd keep sights the same on my carry pieces, but I'm not overly-enamored of the TruGlos as I don't find them bright enough at night (they are brilliant in daylight). I have TruGlo TFOs on the G17 and would appreciate suggestions for a fast set of sights (for EDC and self defense) for my G26. I have been carrying my G17 but welcome the compact powerhouse that is the G26 and may end up putting it in the rotation more frequently.
Too bad Talon Grips don't yet have other colors! But this one will wear in after some shooting and handling. I added a Talon Grip today to the G26, like all my other Glocks.

I'm really pleased with the "Baby Glock," but gratefully see it for what it is- a full frame Glock (that happens to be shorter and more concealable). I bounced between the 19 and then 43 for my EDC, but after experiencing grip-based FTF and FTE with the 43 (my thumb kept hitting the slide stop lever), I decided it was time to get the 26. I've have a number of Glocks, but I've whittled down my "go-to" Gs to my 17 and brand new 26 in BFG.
